Sweet Balanced acidity, full body, citrus, rich, sweet, lemon, hints of spice, caramel, herbal, earth, and tobacco, chocolate, wine, rich lasting finish.

Roast Aroma: Sweet, wine, spice, popcorn

Dry Ground Aroma: Fruit first, caramel, cherry, orange, lemon, chocolate

Brewed Aroma: Caramel, hints of spice and fruit, cocoa

Growing Altitude: 900 - 1,600 Meters Above Sea Level

Varietals: Typica

Region: Kayumas and Curah Tatal Villages on the Ijen Plateau, Eastern Java, Indonesia. Small Holder farmers of the Region heavily intercrop coffee with other colorful cash crops such as Avocados, albizia, erythrina, leucaena trees, and parkia beans which provide Java Taman Dadar coffee's name of "flower garden" in the native language.

Growers: Various Small holder Family owned farms. This is unusual for the Region which produces coffee mainly on Large Government held Estates originally set up by the Dutch in the 18th Century.

Process: Traditional Indonesian (parchment is removed while still damp) Wet Hulled and dried in the sun. This process has a tendency to produce coffees that are full bodied with earth and fruit tones.

Java is located in south central Indonesia just east of Sumatra and southwest of Sulawesi. During the 18th Century Java was the Worlds leading supplier of Arabica Coffee leading to its' name being forever associated with our favorite drink.
